Management have the right to change the times depending on the finishing of the rounds and the right to merge sections if needed.

EMERALD RESORT sponsored lucky draws (2 night’s accommodation - one per section) based on player number during prize giving. (Lucky draws can only be claimed if player is present at prize giving)

Friday 24/03 Pre-Entries close at 10h00.
Late entries 14h00-16h00 with a penalty payment of R10 per category. (Management have the right to restrict late entries to a max of 400 players for the tournament.)
Entries after 16h00 will not be allowed to play the 1st round.
Pre-entries which have not reported by 17h15 will be excluded from the 1st round draw.
Players lists will be ready by 17h30. Players to be seated by 17h50.
Beginners session 16h00 to 17h00 (Free of charge)
Players must be registered at CHESSA; this can be done at the tournament. If already paid, proof must be made available. (2006 CHESSA registration: Seniors 21+ R100, Juniors R50)
Players to supply own CLOCK and CHESS set. Chessboards will be available.
Own notation paper and pen are required.
Cell phones must be switched off during rounds. FIDE rules will apply.
